Dressmaker Official Links and How to Spot Fake Downloads
The real Dressmaker channels: the Steam store, the itch.io prototype, the studio site, Discord and the subreddit, plus how to tell fake download pages apart.
The official Dressmaker channels are short enough to memorise. The Steam store page is for buying and patch history. The itch.io prototype page is for the free build and development log. Then come the publisher’s own site, the official Discord, the r/Dressmaker subreddit, and the studio’s YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts. Bug triage runs through Discord and the Steam discussions.
That is the whole list. There is no official mobile download, no browser version, and no second store.
The official channels and what each one is for

If a link you found is not on that list, it is not an official channel, whatever it looks like.
Why there are so many fake Dressmaker download pages
“Dressmaker” is an ordinary English word, and the game launched recently enough that search results are still sorting themselves out. So a search for something like “dressmaker online” surfaces two kinds of pages that are not this game.
- Same-name browser games. There are free web dressmaking games called Dressmaker that predate this release. They belong to whoever made them, not to Cozy Lives.
- Aggregator download pages. Sites that bundle freeware present Dressmaker as a downloadable app. The real game has no such build.
Neither of those is necessarily malicious. The point is narrower: neither one is the game you are looking for. A download that claims to be the official build cannot be official, because no such build exists.
Four checks before you trust a link
- Does the buy button lead to Steam? The full game has exactly one official seller. If a page offers its own download for the full game, stop.
- Does it promise a mobile or browser version? There is no Android release and no web release. The developers describe mobile as a planned port.
- Is the domain one of the official ones? The store, itch.io, freelives.net, or the studio’s own social accounts.
- Does it want a Steam login or a payment outside Steam? The game itself never asks for either.
Reporting a bug so the developers can use it
The developers made one request explicit in their own post: include your save file when you report a bug. That single habit is the difference between a report that gets fixed and one that gets closed.
Beyond the save file, useful reports include:
- What you were doing, in order, when it went wrong.
- Which commission or screen it happened on.
- Your platform, and whether you were on Steam Deck.
- Whether it repeats when you reload that save.
Post it in the official Discord or the Steam discussion board. Reviews are read by other players, not by the people who can fix it, and a one-line “it is buggy” gives the team nothing to work with.
